Frequently asked questions & policies

Pick-up and set-up:

  • Your Beach Runner will be in touch with you the day before your first beach day to confirm your reservation. A dedicated Beach Runner will them come by your pick-up location in the morning to collect your selected items by 7:00 AM.

    Please plan to have everything packed up and ready, and feel free to set your items outside your door/on your porch the night before for a contactless pickup.

  • Do not put any valuables in your pick-up items (cameras, phones, speakers, etc.). Please also note that Bethany Beach does not permit the use of tents on the beach, and we will not accept tents as part of your item count.

    Anything over 50lbs will incur an extra fee unless you selected the Cooler add-on at checkout.

  • As soon as your site is set up in the area that you selected when booking, we will send you a pinned location to your phone so that you know exactly where to go! We will set up your site close to the beach access point you selected during booking.

    A team member will supervise the beach until 9:00AM, to make sure everything is safe.

  • Our Beach Runners team sets up sites between 7:00 - 8:00 AM. You will receive a text when your site is set up, with an exact pinned location.

  • If you selected a single day option, we will wipe down and return your items at your original pick-up location the same evening. If you booked a multi-day beach trip, we conveniently store your gear for you overnight and set them up for you again the next morning so that you don’t have to stress about it.

    If you select the Daily item return add-on with a multi day package, we will wipe down and return your items to the pick-up location each booked day.

  • If you have booked a multi-day package, we will send you an updated pinned location for your site every morning.

  • We set up your sites along the Bethany Beach Trolley route, so that you don’t have to worry about parking!

End of day:

  • When you’re all done for the day — text us an hour before you’re ready to leave and a Beach Runner will come by and meet you at your site so you can head on to your next adventure and we can pack up!

  • The Beach Runners team comes to pack up sites at 5:00 PM for last call.

    You can always choose to leave earlier!

  • At the end of your beach day (or your last beach day if you’re booking a multi-day package) — we wipe down your gear and return it to your original pick-up location by 7:00 PM.

    If you select the Daily item return add-on with a multi-day package — we will wipe down and return your items to the pick-up location each booked day by 7:00 PM, and pick them up again in the morning.

  • Pricing depends on how many items you want serviced. Save with multi-day bookings on all packages.

  • Absolutely! Your Beach Runner accepts any tips you give them for their awesome service.

  • Yes. Our season is May 31 thru October 1.

  • We’re always looking to grow our team of Beach Runners.

Beach Runners policies:

  • If there are more items than included in the purchased package — additional charges will be incurred.

  • Please do not send any gear or valuables you are not comfortable with leaving unattended.

    We will minimize the amount of time the gear is left on the beach by communicating with you once we set you up, and have staff walking the beach until 9:00 AM keeping an eye on sites.

    Please arrive before then to minimize time your site is left unattended.

  • We are responsible for the safe keeping and transportation of your belongings or rented equipment while in our possession.

    Once the scheduled set-up is complete and you have been notified via text of it’s location, we are no longer liable for lost or stolen goods until the scheduled pick-up time.

  • Although we do not offer refunds we can credit you with a Rain Check should your booked day turn out to have inclement weather.

    We will also monitor the weather throughout the day and text you if we see a storm heading your way, so that we can get you off the beach before it hits to keep you and your gear safe.

  • You may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the first day of package and request to receive a full refund or a code to redeem the booked service at a later date.

    If cancellation is made within 48 hours of scheduled set-up, you will receive a credit to reschedule at a later date.

    Credit must be used within 90 in-season days [Memorial Day - Labor Day].
